Not classically trained in any of the above, the love and pursuit of art is in his DNA. He lives by the following statement, quoted from his uncle, John Payne, a celebrated artist who’s career spanned 4 decades before his passing in 2004:
“The mind hungers. People need art, just like they need the sun. Without art, the world would be an ugly, gray place…”
